Other little Tips

  •  How to keep brown sugar from hardening into clumps:   place a slice of bread or a marshmallow in container and seal.
  • When a recipe calls for room temperature eggs:  Warm up by letting them sit in a bowl of warm water.
  • Substitute Cottage Cheese for Sour Cream:  Place Cottage Cheese in blender and blend until it is creamy.
  • Poaching Eggs:   Add vinegar to boiling water, stir quickly and then drop in egg.
  • How to keep a pot from boiling over:  Place a wooden spoon across the rim of the pot.
